When we designed our first website,
we never imagined writing a 10 year story.
But here we are.

350+ clients. 2 offices shifted. 22 successful pitches.
1 adopted dog.
30 internships. 10 interns who keep in touch.
1 completely insane employee.
9 fortune 500 companies. 1 Unicorn.
800 biryanis debated about, 400 Biryanis ordered.
10 years of honest design.
A lifetime of incredible stories.

By the second year, we had
our first retainer renewed and a silver car that proudly shimmered in the golden sun.
It was time to build a process, a path to follow, to build consistency.
We built processes, only to laugh when we had to break it over and over and over.
Every project is different, every client is new and every brand carries a soul at the heart of it.
We search for that soul and give it a voice.
Maybe that is the process.

3 years. 3 people, who we met through our first corporate client, took us to 3 new companies.
It became our pattern for growth.
We added a new client, every time someone we worked with moved jobs.
The work we were doing was growing outside emails, phone calls and buildings.
It was finding a place in people’s hearts.
For a brand, nothing gets bigger or better than that.

“Let the lame games begin.”
This was the year we officially launched Lame Games.

Shady games with shadier rules,
made in an instant with random tools.
Pencil sword fights & bucket the ball.
Making jungle stories with shadows on the wall.
Spin a stick around a ball in the air.
Balance a cup while swiveling in your chair.
Football fretting. Cricket Betting.
High pitched arguments over game-team vetting.
Game rules that got stupider,
creating memories that made us happier.

Two glasses clink in the air to celebrate 5 years.
One is half filled with Old Monk and other is brimming with Schweppes Tonic.
The lady with the tonic says, “ It's been good so far...”
“ It could've been better.. ” says the Old Monk.
A designer electrocutes a mosquito in the background as if it were a sign of good things to come.
As partners we’ve found that imperfect balance; of being content while always burning for more.

Purple, meet Purple.
We started work with The Purple Brand in our 6thYear.
Purple was taking over our screens and the education space.
We were asked to create environment graphics for their new office.
They planned to shift in a week.
We were convinced the space wouldn’t be ready: we were staring at
cement walls, bare floors and wide open spaces covered with construction material.
We walked into the office a week later, to find five hundred people working in a
fully furnished office.
Today they are India’s largest ed-tech unicorn company and our biggest inspiration.
The future is Purple.

Somewhere in our 7th year we felt ready to make our foray into films.
Coincidentally, we got a call the very next day.
“Do you make corporate films?”
“Yes we do…”
(maybe this is what they call destiny)
“Great. We want to showcase our new facility.
Is that something you can do?”
“Yes, of course…”
“Could you share some of your previous work with us?”
“Actually, you’d be our first client”
(long pause)
We never heard from the client again.
We believe in destiny, but we’ve never banked on it to get us work.
Everything we wanted, we’ve had to create for ourselves.

Our Technology adventure started with a deep-dive into IT services,
soon we were creating stories about Big Data, Analytics & Machine Learning.
We’re eating Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation for breakfast these days.
There’s an illusion that creative ideas are entangled in long facial hair and copious cups of coffee.
But for us it has meant, understanding complex business concepts, sketching ideas and weaving stories on white sheets of paper: each to be delivered within a set time-line.

We don’t do the smoke. We don’t do the coffee. There’s only one thing we do and that’s Biriyani.
